Voted as one of the top 10 dive sites in Australia and one of the best shore dives in the world, this site is world-famous. Located about 14 kilometers to the north of Exmouth on the gulf side of the North West Cape, the pier extends 110 meters from shore and is 300 meters long – maximum depth is about 15 meters.

The pylons are covered in beautiful soft corals and are teeming with marine life – over 200 species make this their home and it is inhabited by Grey Nurse sharks during the cooler temperatures in winter. There is also a giant Queensland Groper that lives here year-round and has become a local identity very popular with divers.

Fishing is not allowed from the pier and the sheer numbers of fish that shelter here has to be seen to be believed. In addition to the swarms of fish life, nudibranchs, frogfish, sea snakes, sharks, and all kinds of macro life are found in and around the structure.

This is one of the best dives I have ever done anywhere in the world and words simply can’t describe how good it actually is.

I used to work as a dive guide on the Navy Pier and never got tired of diving it every day, I highly recommend it to everyone. Only one licensed operator is allowed to take divers on the pier (it is not open to the general public) and Aussie Marine Adventures can book you a spot on this world-class dive.
